Maintenance DivisionThe Maintenance Division is the cornerstone of postal operations, guaranteeing the seamless functioning of facilities and equipment. Diligent Laborer Custodians uphold cleanliness and operational efficiency in post offices, while adept Mechanics expertly repair and maintain critical systems and machinery. This dedicated team operates behind the scenes to ensure the postal service remains dependable, efficient, and prepared to serve the community.

Motor Vehicle Service DivisionThe Motor Vehicle Service (MVS) is responsible for transporting and maintaining postal vehicles. This includes drivers who deliver mail, mechanics who keep the fleet running, Driver Safety Instructors who train employees on safe driving, and MVS Clerks who support operations in maintenance facilities and transportation departments. Together, they ensure the efficient and safe movement of mail across the country.
The Clerk Division, APWU’s largest, represents 1,000 postal clerks vital to mail operations, excelling in 170+ roles nationwide.
